I roughly sketched out key frames to conceptualize the user flow of the feature.
Paper Screens: Wireframing the UI
To understand how the feature will change existing Venmo screens and to conceptualize the new screen designs needed, I developed paper wireframes.
Plotting the User Flow
Highlighting two distinct paths (a user that has existing groups, and another user that has no groups yet), I wanted to understand how users would navigate through the app with the goal of creating and charging a new group.
Digitizing the Flow and Aligning UI
I identified the existing Venmo key frames that corresponded with my own to ensure UI consistency when I eventually re-mocked the screens to include the "Groups" feature
Task Flow: create and charge a new group
The task flow helped to capture multiple user paths and decisions points in completing the task of creating and charging a new group. It also helped to inform all the screen states that would need to be designed for.
